  2. Use template: Position the provided template on the mounting surface and mark hole locations.
  3. Drill holes: Drill holes for mounting screws and cable routing as indicated.
  4. Attach bracket: Secure the mounting bracket using supplied hardware.
  5. Mount unit: Slide the chartplotter onto the bracket until it clicks into place.

CAUTION! Ensure the mounting surface is strong enough to support the unit. Avoid locations with excessive vibration or heat.

Electrical Connections

Connect the power/data cable to vessel power and the chartplotter.

  1. Disconnect vessel power before making connections.
  2. Route cable: Route the power/data cable from the chartplotter to the power source and grounding point, avoiding sharp bends and sources of interference.
  3. Connect power: Connect the red wire to a switched 10–32 Vdc positive terminal. Connect the black wire to a negative ground or the vessel’s common ground point.
  4. Secure connections: Use appropriate crimp connectors or terminal blocks. Protect connections from moisture.
  5. Connect to unit: Plug the power/data cable into the port on the back of the GPSMAP 750.

Tip: Install an appropriate in-line fuse (recommended 5 A) on the positive wire near the power source.

Network Connections

Connect to NMEA 2000, NMEA 0183, and Garmin Marine Network devices.

WARNING! Ensure all network connections are made with the power off. Verify polarity on NMEA 0183 connections.
