Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Install batteries and optional memory card.

  1. Install batteries: Open battery compartment on back, insert two AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Install microSD card (optional): Insert card into slot under the battery cover.
  3. Attach wrist strap: Thread through loop on top of unit.
  4. Charge via USB (optional): Connect to computer USB port for data/power.

WARNING! Use only recommended batteries. Do not force memory card. Ensure battery cover is securely closed for waterproof seal.

First-Time Setup

Power on unit; follow on-screen prompts.

  1. Acquire satellite signals: Go outdoors with clear view of sky; wait for 3D fix.

  2. Navigate to Waypoint: Select FIND > Waypoints, choose destination, select GOTO.
  3. Follow Road Route: With street maps, select FIND > Addresses or Points of Interest to create route.
  4. Track Back: Retrace your path using Tracks > Track Back.
  5. Mark Waypoint: Press and hold ENTER/MARK at location.
  6. Adjust Zoom: Use ZOOM IN/OUT buttons on Map page.
  7. Change Data Fields: Press MENU on Map page to select data shown.
