Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Choose mounting location with clear view of sky for GPS.

  1. Mount the bracket: Use included hardware to secure bracket to dash or console.
  2. Connect power/NMEA 2000 cable: Route cable to power source and connect red to positive, black to negative.
  3. Install transducer (if included): Mount on transom according to instructions.
  4. Connect transducer cable to sonar port on back of unit.
  5. Secure unit onto bracket and tighten knob.

WARNING! Ensure all connections are waterproofed. Disconnect power before installation.

First-Time Setup

Power on unit; follow on-screen prompts.

  1. Acquire GPS signal: Place unit in open sky view; wait for "GPS Ready".
  2. Set language: In System Settings, select ENGLISH (default).
  3. Configure units: Set distance, speed, depth, temperature units (e.g., nautical miles, knots).
  4. Calibrate compass (if applicable): Follow on-screen instructions.
  5. Adjust display: Set backlight, contrast, and color scheme for visibility.

Controls and Settings

Access menus via MENU key. Front Panel: POWER, PAGES, ZOOM IN/OUT, MENU, ENTER, Arrow keys.

On-screen: Chart Page, Sonar Page, Trip Computer, Main Menu.

Chart Settings: Chart Detail, Orientation (North Up, Course Up), Waypoints, Routes, Tracks. Sonar Settings: Frequency, Sensitivity, Range, Color Scheme. System Settings: Units, Language, Time, Alarms, NMEA Settings. Navigation: Create waypoints, plan routes, view tide stations, and navigate to points.

Connecting Devices

NMEA 0183: Connect to compatible devices for data exchange. NMEA 2000: Connect to NMEA 2000 network for sensor data. microSD: Insert card for additional maps or data storage.

  1. Turn off power before connecting devices.
  2. Connect NMEA 0183 wires per wiring diagram in manual.
  3. Connect NMEA 2000 cable to network drop cable.
  4. Insert microSD card into slot until it clicks.

Tip: Use marine-grade connectors and seal connections against moisture.

Using Navigation Features

Supports waypoint, route, and track navigation.

  1. View Chart: Press PAGES to select Chart page.
  2. Create Waypoint: Move cursor to location, press ENTER, select "Save Waypoint".
  3. Navigate to Waypoint: Select waypoint, choose "Go To".
  4. Create Route: Menu > Route > New Route, add waypoints in order.
  5. Follow Route: Select route, choose "Navigate Route".
  6. View Trip Data: Press PAGES to Trip Computer page for speed, distance, etc.
  7. Use Tides: Select tide station on chart for tide graph.

WARNING! Always have paper charts as backup. GPS signal may be lost.

Using Sonar Features

View bottom contour, fish arches, and depth.

  1. Switch to Sonar: Press PAGES to Sonar page.
  2. Adjust Frequency: Menu > Sonar Setup > Frequency (50, 77, or 200 kHz).
  3. Set Range: Auto or manual range for depth.
  4. Adjust Sensitivity: Increase to see weaker returns.
  5. Use Zoom: Press ZOOM to zoom in on bottom or specific depth.
  6. View Split Screen: Menu > Split Screen to see chart and sonar simultaneously.

Note: Sonar performance depends on transducer placement and water conditions.

Care & Cleaning

Disconnect power before cleaning. Use soft, damp cloth with mild soap; rinse with fresh water. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

CAUTION! Do not spray water directly into ports. Ensure unit is dry before reconnecting power.
