Getting Started

Unpack and inspect contents. Charge device before first use.

  1. Charge the device: Connect USB cable to watch and AC adapter. Charge fully (approx. 3 hours).
  2. Power on: Press and hold POWER button until display activates.
  3. Acquire satellites: Go outdoors with clear sky view; device will automatically search for satellites.
  4. Set time/date: Device may prompt for initial time zone setup.

WARNING! Keep device away from extreme temperatures. Do not expose to prolonged direct sunlight when charging.

Initial Setup

After charging, prepare for first round.

  1. Acquire GPS signal: Go outdoors, wait for "Ready to Golf" message.
  2. Select course: Device will auto-suggest nearby courses; confirm or manually select.
  3. Set players: Enter number of players (1-4) for score tracking.
  4. Start round: Press OK to begin; device auto-advances holes.
  5. Adjust settings: Use MENU to set units (yards/meters), time format, etc.

On-Course Operation

  1. Start round: Select course, press OK at first tee.

  4. Measure shot: Press OK to mark position, walk to ball, press OK again for distance.
  5. Enter scores: After putting out, enter score for each player via UP/DOWN, press OK.
  6. Advance hole: Device auto-advances; manually press UP if needed.
  7. Pause round: Press and hold MENU to suspend GPS (saves battery).

Tip: For best accuracy, ensure clear view of sky when taking measurements.

Course Management

Managing courses and data.

  1. Course updates: Connect to computer via USB; use Garmin Express to update course database.
  2. View scorecards: Access via MENU > Scorecard; scroll through previous rounds.
  3. Delete rounds: MENU > Scorecard > select round > Delete.
  4. Check course list: MENU > Courses to see preloaded courses.
  5. Manual course selection: If auto-recognition fails, manually select from list.

WARNING! Do not disconnect USB during updates. Ensure computer is connected to internet.

Battery & Charging

Charging and maximizing battery life.

  1. Charge fully before first use (approx. 3 hours).
  2. Indicator: Red light = charging; Green light = fully charged.
  3. Battery saver: Enable auto power-off in settings; pause GPS between rounds.
  4. Low battery warning: Display shows when battery is low (approx. 1 hour remaining).

Care & Maintenance

Clean with soft, dry cloth. Avoid chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaners.

Waterproof care: Rinse with fresh water after exposure to salt water or chlorine. Ensure USB port cover is securely closed.
