Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Install batteries and prepare for first use.

  1. Install batteries: Open battery compartment on back, insert 2 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Power on: Press and hold POWER button until unit beeps and display lights up.
  3. Acquire satellite signal: Go outdoors with clear view of sky; allow several minutes for initial acquisition.

First-Time Setup

Navigating with GPS

Supports waypoint navigation, track following, and route navigation.

  1. Create waypoint: Press and hold MARK button at location; edit name/symbol.
  2. Navigate to waypoint: Select Goto from menu, choose waypoint from list.
  3. Follow track: Load saved track, select Follow Track; GPS guides along path.
  4. Create route: In Route menu, add waypoints in sequence for multi-point navigation.
  5. Use map page: View current location on basemap; zoom with rocker.
  6. Trip computer: Monitor speed, distance, time, and other trip data.
  7. Compass page: View bearing to destination and current heading.
  8. Save track log: Automatically records path; save for later use.

WARNING! GPS accuracy can be affected by environmental factors; always carry a map and compass as backup.

Accessibility Features
