Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Install batteries and prepare for initial use.

  1. Install batteries: Open battery compartment, insert two AA batteries (alkaline or NiMH).

Connecting Devices

  3. Use Garmin software (MapSource, BaseCamp) to transfer maps/waypoints.
  4. For external antenna, connect to dedicated port (if equipped).

Tip: Ensure USB connection is secure; GPS may enter data transfer mode automatically.

Navigation & Waypoints

Create and navigate to waypoints, routes, and tracks.

  1. Mark waypoint: Press and hold ENTER/MARK at location; edit name/symbol if needed.
  2. Go To waypoint: From waypoint list, select and choose "Go To".
  3. Create route: MENU > Route > New, select waypoints in order.

Load detailed maps via microSD card. Manage waypoints, routes, tracks.

Maps: Purchase Garmin MapSource products (BlueChart, Topo, City Navigator). Transfer maps via computer to microSD card. Data Management: Connect to computer, use Garmin software to backup/restore waypoints, routes, tracks.

Care & Maintenance

Clean with fresh water after saltwater use. Use soft, damp cloth; avoid harsh chemicals.
