Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Choose mounting location carefully.

  1. Mount the unit: Use included bracket for surface mount or cutout for flush mount.
  2. Connect power: Connect red wire to positive (+) and black wire to negative (-) on boat's 10-32 V DC system.
  3. Connect optional transducer: Attach transducer cable to SONAR port.
  4. Connect optional external GPS antenna: Attach to GPS ANTENNA port if needed.
  5. Connect NMEA devices: Use NMEA 0183 or NMEA 2000 cables for interfacing with other marine electronics.

WARNING! Ensure all connections are secure and waterproofed. Route cables away from moving parts and heat sources.

First-Time Setup

Power on unit; follow on-screen prompts.

  1. Initial GPS acquisition: Allow unit to acquire satellite signals (may take several minutes first time).

Using GPS Navigation

Provides detailed chartplotting and navigation features.

  1. View map: Press PAGE to select Map page.
  2. Create waypoint: Move cursor to desired location, press ENTER > "Mark Waypoint".
  3. Navigate to waypoint: From waypoint list, select waypoint > "Go To".
  4. Create route: MENU > Routes > "New Route", add waypoints in sequence.
  5. Follow route: Select route from list > "Navigate Route".
  6. View data: Press PAGE to cycle through data pages (Speed, Course, Position, etc.).
  7. Use TracBack®: Retrace your path using stored track log.

WARNING! Always have paper charts as backup. GPS is an aid to navigation.

Using Sonar Features

Requires optional transducer connection.

  1. Select Sonar page: Press PAGE until Sonar page appears.
  2. Adjust range: Use ROCKER to set depth range manually or select AUTO.
  3. Adjust gain: MENU > Sonar Setup > Gain for optimal fish arch detection.
  4. Change frequency: Select 50 kHz (wide cone) or 200 kHz (narrow cone) if transducer supports.
  5. Use zoom: Highlight portion of screen, press ENTER to zoom.
  6. Set alarms: Configure fish alarm, shallow/deep water alarms.

Note: Sonar performance depends on transducer installation and water conditions.

Care & Cleaning

Disconnect power before cleaning. Use fresh water and mild soap with soft cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasives.

CAUTION! Ensure unit is powered off and disconnected. Do not spray water directly into connectors.
