Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Ensure all components are present.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, install 2 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Attach wrist strap: Thread through provided loop for secure handling.
  3. Initial power on: Press and hold POWER button to start unit.
  4. Mounting options: Use optional bracket for fixed mounting on boat or vehicle.

WARNING! Use only recommended batteries. Do not expose to extreme temperatures during installation.

First-Time Setup

Power on GPS; follow on-screen prompts.

  1. Acquire satellite signal: Place unit outdoors with clear sky view for initial fix (may take several minutes).
  2. Set language: In SETUP menu, select preferred language (default ENGLISH).

Navigation & Waypoints

Create and navigate to waypoints, follow routes, use TracBack®.

  1. Mark waypoint: Press and hold ENTER at desired location, edit name/symbol if needed.
  2. Go to waypoint: Select from waypoint list, choose "Go To" for navigation.
  3. Create route: In Route menu, select points from waypoint list to build route.
  4. Follow route: Select route, choose "Navigate" to follow defined path.
  5. TracBack®: Retrace your path by activating TracBack feature from track log.
  6. Project waypoint: Create new waypoint at specified distance and bearing from current location.
  7. Sunrise/sunset: View times for current date and location in the Almanac page.

WARNING! GPS is an aid to navigation. Always use in conjunction with proper charts and traditional navigation methods.

Accessibility Features
